Where we are located 
Our house is situated right on the beach at Playa Grande on the north Pacific coast of Costa Rica between Tamarindo and Flamingo. It is a four hour and a half hour drive from the capital city of San Jose or an hour drive from the international airport near Liberia or a thirty minute drive from the local airport at Tamarindo.

How to get here and transportation available
Most people rent a vehicle to get here. There are bus services available and taxis and we can supply transportation from the Tamarindo airport to Playa Grande.
Our place at Playa Grande
Our property is fully enclosed for privacy and security with a pool and plenty of parking space including a carport. The rental unit is two levels set up to accommodate six people. Upstairs is a large bedroom complete with king sized bed, bathroom, and patio overlooking the ocean. Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen, sitting area, dining area, two bedrooms (one with two twin beds, the other with a double bed), a bathroom, and a covered porch on the beach side. There is air conditioning and fans.
Maid service is provided and laundry service available. We have a BBQ, board games, cards, etc. available for our guests.
What is here at Playa Grande
Playa Grande is a quiet beach area known mostly for surfing and as a nesting place for the leatherback turtles. Surfing is usually good (check your surf reports) and the turtle season is from October into March. There are park guides to take you out on the beach at night to see the turtles.
Golfing, snorkeling, horseback riding, estuary tours, sunset sails and deep sea fishing are available. Great beach for walks or just sit and relax and watch the sunsets.
